The design stays fixed. The data changes on every single label.
A variable data label keeps its layout, logo and colours constant while the information printed on it changes for each unit. Serial numbers, production and expiry dates, batch or lot codes, barcodes and QR codes are pulled from a data source and composed at print time.
With a conventional label, five thousand boxes are indistinguishable — the system sees a single object. With variable data, each box carries its own identity and can be traced individually. In regulated sectors this traceability is a legal requirement, not a preference.
Serial number, production and expiry date, batch or lot code, barcode, QR code, weight or volume, country of origin, and in multilingual runs the language of the text itself.
During design a short sample value is placed in each field. In the real dataset a much longer record appears and the text overruns the barcode. We proof against the longest record in your file, never the first one.
Data intake, validation, field mapping, digital proof, printing, and read verification on any barcode or QR content.
